About Us

The Colour of Hope Charity
The Colour of Hope is a British Charity working to reduce poverty, advance education and promote employment amongst disadvantaged young people leaving care homes in Lima, Peru. Most of these young people have previously been street children and still bear the marks of extreme poverty, drug addiction and abuse. Once they grow up, they’re forced to leave care, find work and start supporting themselves. Yet the troubles they’ve suffered, lack of family support and insufficient funds make this almost impossible. Many end up right back where they started – living on the streets. The Colour of Hope's youth reintegration programme and microfinance scheme help these underprivileged young people to become part of their community and to find dignified work; they give them a chance for change.
